THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO TRAVELLING AMERICA
TRAVEL TO THE U.S.A.
You will undoubtedly be arriving in America by air. Fares vary widely and frequently, and it would be impossible to offer any specifics for purchasing your air ticket. It’s probably most cost effective to purchase a flight direct to your preferred jumping-off point, rather than flying cheaply from, for example, London to New York and then getting a domestic U.S. ticket from New York to your final destination although there are always exceptions.
...... Keep in mind that the big hub cities in the U.S. are New York, Boston, and Washington D.C. on the east coast (closest to Europe), which would allow you easy access to most of the east coast (at least north of Florida). Chicago is a big hub in the upper Midwest; Denver is the biggest air hub in the Rocky Mountains; Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle are the biggest on the west coast (primary hubs for Asia). In the south, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and Miami are the significant gateways.
